I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
